Do you know how artists and their music become popular? They do not turn into instant hits. They have the whole world, the listening and scrutinizing public to please. If their music ticks and jives with what the public wants to hear, they become famous in a snap.

To be dubbed as popular, tunes need to have a lot of listeners who listen to them several times each day on a daily basis. These tunes need to be requested in radio shows every so often. Getting these people buy their albums in record stores and being downloaded from subscription websites would certainly push these tunes up to popularity.
